Incredible DIY Sugar-Free Chocolate Sour Cherry Bombs To Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

If you like chocolaty desserts as much as we do, then this dessert is for you. Sour cherries coated in a wonderful melted dark chocolate makes us drool a little bit. These interesting bombs are perfect for parties and celebrations, they look fabulous, and in addition, they are more than delicious.

This sweet dessert has no added sugar and it is perfect for everyone who watches what he/she eat. As Valentine’s Day approaching, consider making this DIY treat for your loved one. If you are single, it’s even better because you don’t need to share these awesome chocolate bombs with anyone! 🙂

DIY Sour Cherry Chocolate Bombs

For this recipe you will need:

  • Chocolate sugar-free cake mix
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • A little bit of rum
  • Sour cherries with stems (without seeds)
  • 350 g dark chocolate


Prepare the cake mix according to the instructions on the box, bake it, and let it cool down. Then place it in a bowl and smash with your hands. Add cream cheese and a little bit of rum in the mixture and stir until you get a blend that you can mold into small bombs.

Next, cut a little line on the sour cherries to remove the seeds but be careful and don’t remove the stems. Then, take a little bit of the prepared cake mixture and coat each sour cherry around the stem. Once you’ve done that transfer the sour cherry bombs on a large pan and put them in the fridge to harden.

When the cherries cool well, chop and melt the dark chocolate, and pour it into a deeper glass.  Next, dip each cherry bomb into the melted dark chocolate. Put one baking paper and arrange the chocolate sour cherry bombs on it. Place them in the freezer one more time and leave them for about 10 minutes. Once cooled, transfer them to a serving plate and enjoy!

Note: If you don’t know how to prepare the cake mixture, follow these instructions:  Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Then, in a larger bowl mix the content from the sugar-free cake mixture with 3 eggs, 300 ml water, and 4.00 fl.oz vegetable oil. Transfer the mixture into baking pans, and bake it for about half an hour.
