How To Clean Your Glasses And Prevent Scratches

Baking Soda

Sodium bicarbonate is a very useful ingredient. It is often used for cleaning around the house. In addition, you can use it to clean your eyewear. All you need to do is mix a little bit of baking soda in water, and rub the mixture in circular motions on the glass. Then, wipe it with a damp cotton cloth and let it dry off.

Toothpaste

You can also use toothpaste to clean your eyewear and protect it from scratches. Apply a little bit of toothpaste on the glass, gently rub it and then rinse it with water. Leave your glasses to dry. You can also use toothpaste to cover the scratches on the glass.

Olive Oil

Blurred and dirty glasses can cause a lot of problems and impair your vision. Thus, we suggest you to prevent the creation of stains with an olive oil solution. Take a little piece of natural, hard soap, made of olive oil, a teaspoon of glycerin, and a few drops of laurel essential oil.

Put the soap in a cooking pan and cover it with water. Heat the soap and water, while stirring continuously. Cook until it’s melted. Then, add the glycerin and laurel essential oil, and cook for one more minute, continuing with the stirring as well. Remove the mixture from the heat, and leave it to cool down. Transfer it into a bottle. Apply a small amount of this product to the glasses, and gently polish them with a soft cotton cloth.
