All over the world, fruit salads are served all-year-round because the global marketplace allows fresh and available food at all times. The most popular fruit salads are those of seasonal fruits, so that the base changes during the year. The most common bases are cherries, strawberries, apricots, peaches, melons, watermelons, pears, apples, and citrus fruits.
In winter we usually eat more unhealthy food full of fat and carbs because the cold allows us to. Moreover, we never go out for a stroll or exercise because of winter weather. Processed meat, burgers, cheese, and other similar things make us susceptible to infections because we don’t enter the needed micronutrients that we should.
Bananas, tangerines, and lemon are extremely healthy, refreshing and delicious during wintertime. Together they make a unique mix that can be combined as a low-calorie snack or dessert with another dish.
This fruit and honey salad will keep you from getting cold until the arrival of spring. It has a lower energy value than most winter desserts that will help you maintain your weight due to reduced activity during the winter months.
You can serve it as a delicious snack or a healthy and low-calorie meal replacement.
