A few months back, I discovered the easiest technique in the world for growing tomatoes. It’s so easy, that you’ll get more tomato plants with half the work than usual! Plus, you’ll be using very ripe tomatoes, which usually end up in the garbage bin.
So, if you already have overripe tomatoes at home, don’t throw them away! You can reuse them to grow new plants!
What you need for planting:
- Compost from your garden
- Potting soil
- A plastic container or a large flower pot
- A knife
- Overripe tomatoes
- Start by filling half the pot with a combination of potting soil and compost.
- Cut the tomatoes into slices, about half a centimeter thick.
- Place the slices on the potting soil.
- Take some soil and lightly cover the tomato slices. Be careful not to put too much on top. They need to be hardly covered.
- Water the pot lightly, so that the soil is moist without being soggy.
- After only 1 to 2 weeks, the seeds will begin to sprout.
