Toothpaste As A Effective First Aid Remedy For Minor Health Aliments

In addition to being the basis of oral health, toothpaste can widely be used for many other purposes. You probably have toothpaste in your home, we will show you how to use it for any of the below mention problems.

So, let’s begin.

Toothpaste As A Natural Remedy

  1. Minor burns

Toothpaste helps with minor burns when there isn’t an open wound. You should apply the smallest amount of toothpaste on that area. Immediately, you will feel its effect – it will cool the place and prevent an opening of a wound.

  1. Ease itchy bug bite

The best thing to use for this purpose is toothpaste with mint to alleviate itchy bug bites. This is because the mint oil in toothpaste has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Moreover, almost every toothpaste contains hydrogen peroxide that will disinfect the area and prevent infections. Toothpaste will reduce the swelling, redness, and itch after a bug bite. Simply apply a little bit of toothpaste to the place of the sting and leave it dry.

  1. Brighter nails

If you want to clean, shiny and tighter nails, you can try brushing them with toothpaste.  The hydrogen peroxide in the toothpaste will whiten them and remove any dirt or nail polish residue. Just, put a little paste on an old toothbrush and rub them with gentle, circular movements. Leave the toothpaste for 5 minutes and then rinse it with water.

  1. Reduce pimples

Many say their toothpaste has helped reduce the number of pimples. However, with this, you should be careful because you may dry out the skin. So, put a little paste on the pimple and let it dry for about two hours. Then rinse with mild soap and warm water. Make sure to rinse the paste well, because if you leave it for too long it may burn and dry your skin. Note: apply the paste only on the pimple area, and see how your skin will react. If it burns too much remove the toothpaste immediately and apply a moisturizer.

  1. Dry off cold sore

Just like with the pimple method, toothpaste actually works great against cold sores. It will dry the sore almost immediately. If you feel that cold sore slowly breaks on your mouth you should act fast. This method is great for preventing the cold sore from appearing in the first place. What you need to do is apply a little bit of toothpaste on the cold sore and leave it overnight. In the morning remove it with water. You can use this method as many times as you want or until it completely dries off.
